Gulf's Greyhound of the Week - July 25th

Returning to the spotlight this week is this year’s Texas Round Up Sprint Champion, Look My Way, from D.Q. Williams Kennel. After one of the most thrilling finishes Gulf Greyhound Park has ever seen in the championship finals, Look My Way has continued his success stringing together two more victories to build a five race win streak.

On Sunday afternoon July 11, Look My Way drew a favorable #2 post position and used it to his advantage in the early parts of the race rushing by early traffic to clear second behind front running Atascocita Kate. Look My Way drove around the leader at the top of the stretch and pulled away to a two-length victory in a time of 30.09 seconds.

Thursday evening July 22 would be the next obstacle for Look My Way as the field he was facing included multiple top grade AA winners including last week’s Greyhound of the Week, Nimby Tip. As expected, Nimby Tip would set sail to the lead and Look My Way was in the perfect stalking position headed down the backstretch. As they turned for home, Look My Way kicked it into another gear and caught the game pacesetter at the wire to clinch his fifth consecutive victory in a time of 30.00 seconds.

Look My Way (Dodgem By Design – Keeper Matts Bee) has shown that he belongs with the elite here at Gulf Greyhound Park and be here Thursday evening July 29 as Look My Way goes for his sixth straight win.
