Forty greyhounds will go to post in five qualifying races which will be contested on the 660-yard Pat C Rendezvous Three-Eighths Mile Course.
All 40 greyhounds will return for rounds two and three Saturday and Wednesday afternoons, Feb. 5 and Feb. 9, respectively. The top 16 point earners following the third round will advance to the semifinals Sunday afternoon, Feb. 13.
The $50,000 James Paul Derby Championship Final will be contested Saturday afternoon, Feb. 19.

In Race 8 , fans will double-down on the well-positioned #2 RK's Chi Chi (Fuzzys Cannon - RK's Proformance, Rader Racing) , while in Race 15 , impressive newcomer to the middle distance, #8 Atascocita Cecil (Dodgem By Design - Atascocita Barb, Suncoast Kennel) will face off against a field of talented veterans.
Qualifying events will also be held in races ten, twelve and fourteen.
Post time for Wednesday afternoon's first race is 1 p.m.
This will be the 80 th running of the Derby, one of the nation's longest running stake events, and is named in honor of humanitarian, greyhound owner and dedicated supporter of Greyhound adoption, James W. Paul.
