NGA News -- Really Xtreme dominates at OPKC

NGA News -- Really Xtreme made the most of the post last night at Orange Park Kennel Club as he broke close, rushed hard to the turn, took over the lead, and was never challenged all the way to the wire.

This Lester Raines Afleet Alex pup, out of Xtreme Hustler, is owned by Deborah Strickland and is the dominant force at the Orange Park Kennel Club right now. When he is on, no one here has a chance to beat him in any race. He has already competed in four stakes events in his young career and he has made the finals of all of those stakes races. Over the sprint course he has been exceptional in the finals as he has won twice, and finished 4th once, in three attempts.

What makes him so special over this 550 yard course is that he can win with or without the early lead in any race. He has the heart of a lion and just keeps on coming no matter what happens. Even if there is trouble, he never gives up and still challenges for the win in each and every effort. No wonder he has only missed the money on 7 occasion in his 47 start career. Winning 25 of those races, he has 53% win percentage, and a quiniela percentage of 72%.

If he does decide to come out running, the race is for place. Just look at his last two sprint stakes finals. In each he left no doubt about who was getting the lead early on and took home the 2010 Jacksonville Juvenile, and the 2011 Jacksonville Sprint Classic in near identical efforts. The first was by 8.5 lengths in 30.30 seconds and the second was by 7.5 lengths in 30.31 seconds.

This is one special greyhound and in the last two months he has proven it time and time again. Just look at these starts, now they are something special. In his last 14 races he has not missed the superfecta and has posted up 9 victories. (14/9-0-3-2)
What is more amazing is that Really Xtreme is only 28 months old and won't turn 3 until December of this year! He has loads of races ahead of him and has the talent, drive, and desire to win.
