NGA News - Flying Star Wars remains undefeated at Victoryland Futurity

NGA News -  Flying Star Wars remained the only undefeated entry after Saturday night's second round of the World Greyhound Futurity at VictoryLand.

Vince Berland's invader from Derby Lane, racing for the Allen Kennel, sped home to win by a nose Saturday night with the quickest time of the evening--a 30.06 posting. Norm Rader's Mr Reliable was second, followed by Berland's Flying Rocca.

In the evening's first Futurity race, Berland's Tiger Up A Tree, also racing for the Allen team, demolished his opposition by 12 lengths. The Naples-based pup had run fourth in the opening round. Second to Tiger Up A Tree was Rader's Grandview Prep (who now has a second and third), with third-place going to Berland's Flying Mustaine (who has two thirds).

In the last race of the evening, David Blair's Bella Incubus pourred it on in the homestretch to win by a neck over first-round winner Tiger Boy (Tiger Up A Tree's littermate, and winner of the Hollywood World Classic earlier this year). Third was Rader's first-round winner Whats Next. Bella lIncubus, racing for the Allen Kennel, now has a win and a second--same as Tiger Boy--in the stake.

Third and final qualifying round for the Futurity will be Wednesday evening, with the finals set for Monday afternoon (Memorial Day).
