Dynamic Duo Lock Up Friday

You want a little excitement in your life? Well you better check out the 10th race on the card for Friday night at the Orange Park Kennel Club then.

Not only is this race the first half of the forced out Twin-Trifecta, it also features the fastest two greyhounds ever to race on the Orange Park oval. You know them as the best two sprinters at the racetrack, but by day the rest of the world calls them Really Xtreme and Paddy Whacker.

Both have been in several stakes finals and each has been there at both 550 and 660 yards. Each has won a puppy stakes, but Xtreme has also won a sprint stakes as well. But don't forget when it comes to raw speed, Paddy Whacker has the edge, by .01 seconds, and the track record.

In their last effort both greyhounds stepped back up to the plate and posted up impressive victories.

Paddy was in his first start back after resting from the finals of the Hollywoodian, where he finished 4th, and seemed to pick right back up where he left off in grade A. He broke well from a tough one box, got around close, and dominated everyone in front of him in the stretch to steal away the slim win.

Really Xtreme might have made even a bigger statement, but he needed to after a 4 start, slow breaking, rough trip run that saw him finished out of the winners circle in each and every effort. Finally back near the rail, he hammered from the box and the race was over at the start. He seized command from the get go and increased his lead with each and every step he took around the racetrack. Leaving a grade A field in his dust, he crossed the finished line almost 10 lengths clear of the competition in a blazing 30.30 second run.

In the 10th race this pair are by far the class of this field and if they come to run, it will be a two greyhound race for the win. They will have to overcome some early issues though, and I'm sure they would like to change post positions to make them feel more comfortable at the start. Paddy would rather be outside in the 7 box and Xtreme would love to be wearing red, but they will make do with what they have and I'm sure you are going to see fireworks in this effort.

Not often outside of stake finals do you get to see match-ups like this, so mark your calendars and let's all get ready for the best taking on the best at the Orange Park Kennel Club on Friday Evening in the 10th race.
