Gulf Greyhound Park’s leading kennel in 2012, K-Rod Kennel trained by Cindy Unrein, used the basic mathematical formula of `more starts equals more opportunities to make money` to dominate the racing scene this week. Using 74 starts, K-Rod Kennel racked up 12 wins, 11 seconds, 11 thirds and 7 fourth place finishes to earn $9,366.83 in purse money. Leading way were grade AA winners Spry Cozart and Ruff Country over the 550-yard course and Spry Moylan covering the 660-yard backside course. With this outstanding performance, K-Rod Kennel lengthened their advantage on top of the kennel standings to 18 wins over the two kennels battling for second place, D.Q. Williams Kennel and Libby Racing Kennels.
