PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB FINALS FOR $20,000 PUPPY STAKES SATURDAY AFTERNOON, APRIL 21! AND IT'S FAMILY FUN DAY!

PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB PRESENTS THE $20,000 BOB BALFE PUPPY STAKES CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY AFTERNOON, APRIL 21!
CAN WW ALL STARODELL REMAIN UNDEFEATED?
...AND IT’S FAMILY FUN DAY!

West Palm Beach, Fl. - Palm Beach Kennel Club’s youngest racers will take to the stage this Saturday afternoon, April 21, as the championship finale of the $20,000 Bob Balfe Puppy Stakes highlights a day of fun and excitement for the entire family.

Most likely, the post time favorite will be the only Greyhound to go through all four qualifying rounds undefeated, WW All Starodell.

Odell, who was an entry in last month’s $50,000 Arthur J. Rooney, Sr. St. Patrick’s Invitational, appears to be in a favorable starting position, being spotted between the strong rail-running Minor Stroke and the slow-breaking Boundfortheshore.

Possible spoilers in the Puppy Stakes finale include the brother duo of Doinitforsumdoll and Crapshooterdance, both of whom are very well positioned starting from the one and eight post positions, respectively.

Not to be ignored are early speedsters, the aforementioned Minor Stroke and Milam Pierce. Representing the strong finishers in this well-rounded field are Preston, Turbo Edwin and Boundfortheshore.

The eight Puppy Stakes finalists in post position order:

1. Doinitforsumdoll (Grenade - Flying Exquisite, Brindle Kennel)
2. Preston (Kiowa Pretence - Kiowa Hail Happy, Royal Racing Team)
3. Turbo Edwin (Dodgem By Design - Greys Wind Gate, Rader Racing)
4. Milam Pierce (Team Record* - Sheriff Morton, Steve Gilster Kennel)
5. Minor Stroke (Rhythmless - Maza Mania, Rader Racing)
6. WW All Starodell (Iruska All Star - WW’s Oprah, Steve Gilster Kennel)
7. Boundfortheshore (Dodgem By Design - Outshineeveryone, Douglas)
8. Crapshooterdance (Grenade - Flying Exquisite, Brindle Kennel)

The 46th running of the $20,000 Bob Balfe Puppy Stakes will be contested in Saturday afternoon’s twelfth race with an approximate post time of 4:00 p.m., and will highlight the track’s Family Fun Day promotion.

The Puppy Stakes is named in honor of former Palm Beach Post Time sports columnist and great friend to Greyhound racing, Bob Balfe.
